Explain the advantages and considerations for using a combined approach that includes both enteral and parenteral nutrition
Describe advances in the safety of parenteral nutrition for the critically ill patient
Evaluate the many formulas now used and condense selection to 6–10 formulas that could be used in nearly all patients except those with disease states requiring specific nutrients
